Pilates 4The Art of Control® Pilates Studio at Synergy Health and Fitness Center is a full Pilates studio offering Mat and all Apparatus training. Both individual and group training are available for clients, including private sessions, duets, and small group classes, as well as home sessions. The Art of Control® also offers the opportunity for those dedicated to the method to become instructors through Teacher Certification programs for Mat and Apparatus.

The Art of Control at Synergy Health and Fitness Center is directed by Simona Cipriani, a second generation Pilates instructor who trained and worked directly with Master Teacher Romana Kryzanowska.

Simona Cipriani is a second-generation Authentic Pilates instructor for 20 years. She trained and studied extensively with Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates’s protégé. Ms. Cipriani directs The Art of Control Pilates studio and The Art and Science of Contrology Pilates Teacher Certification training program. Enticed by the graceful, physical demands of Pilates, Lisa Frey initially pursued the method to cross-train and gain core strength. A former dance student and avid fitness buff, she trained with Simona Cipriani at the Art of Control to further her understanding of the Classical Pilates system. Fully certified in 2015, Lisa teaches both private clients and group mat classes. To her, helping clients discover improved body mechanics and a greater sense of well-being is immensely gratifying.

Joanne Goldstein discovered the world of Pilates by becoming a student at the Art of Control Studio. She so loved the work that she decided to become a certified instructor, graduating in 2011. With her certification and many continuing education workshops, she is a devoted teacher of the Authentic Method, but continues to be a dedicated student as well, understanding that there is always more to learn.

Francine Morina has been passionate about physical fitness, nutrition, meditation, and yoga for most of her life. She was introduced to Pilates in 2000 and soon after became inspired. She received her USPA teacher certification in 2009 as an Instructor of the Authentic Pilates Method. Fran believes strongly in the mind and body connection that Pilates brings to the individual incorporating positive and appropriate intentions to each student and session that she teaches.
